The second most popular product in this category is wipes, the majority of which are made from fabrics that don’t biodegrade, cause 90% of sewer blockages, spread waterborne pollution, and ultimately break down into microplastics. The problem is so severe that California and the UK government are considering bans.
Consequence-free convenience is out of control.
In the US diapers fall between two legal frameworks, meaning the category is rife with bogus language designed to mislead and confuse consumers into thinking they’re buying ecologically sustainable products when it’s just not true.
